• Standard (punto banco): Banker pays 1:1 less 5% commission. Player pays 1:1. Tie usually pays 8:1.

Live roulette

Roulette has three main wheels, and the wheel type sets the house edge:

• European roulette: 37 pockets with a single zero. House edge 2.70% on every standard bet.
• French roulette: a single-zero wheel with the La Partage rule. When zero lands, you get half of an even-money stake back. That cuts the edge on even-money bets to 1.35%.
• American roulette: 38 pockets including 0 and 00. House edge 5.26%, so it costs nearly twice as much as European.

Live blackjack

Blackjack is the one common live game where your decisions change the result. You and the dealer each start with two cards, and you aim to beat the dealer’s total without going over 21. You can hit, stand, double down, split pairs and sometimes surrender. The dealer follows fixed rules, usually standing on 17.

A blackjack (an ace plus a ten-value card) should pay 3:2. Avoid tables that pay 6:5, which adds roughly 1.4% to the house edge. Live tables usually seat seven players. Dragon Tiger

Dragon Tiger is baccarat cut down to one card per side. The higher card wins, and aces are low. A round takes under 30 seconds. With 8 decks, a Dragon or Tiger bet loses half the stake on a tie, which gives a house edge of about 3.7%. The Tie bet pays 8:1 but carries a house edge of about 32.8%.

Sic Bo

Sic Bo uses three dice in a shaker. The simplest bets are Big (11–17) and Small (4–10), which pay 1:1 and lose on any triple. That rule gives them a house edge of about 2.78%. Bets on a specific triple pay much more, but their edge is far higher, so treat them as long shots.

Game shows

Game shows mix a money wheel, bonus rounds and a presenter. Crazy Time and Monopoly Live (Evolution) and Mega Wheel (Pragmatic Play Live) are well-known examples. Their RTPs are lower than the main baccarat bets and vary by bet spot, so read the figures in each game’s help screen. Results swing a lot, so a session can drain fast.

House edge on common live casino bets

The house edge is the average share of each bet the casino keeps over time. It doesn’t predict one session, but it tells you which bets cost the most. The figures below are standard mathematical values for the stated rules.

“Cost per RM100” is an average over thousands of bets. Over 50 hands you can be well up or well down. Still, staking RM100 a hand on Tie costs about 13 times more in expectation than staking it on Banker.

Table limits in ringgit

BK8 doesn’t publish a table of minimums and maximums for each studio, and maximums for VIP rooms aren’t published either. Each table tile in the lobby shows its limits. Check them before you sit down.

A simple rule of thumb: keep your table minimum at 2% or less of your session bankroll. With RM500 for the session, that means tables of RM10 or lower. Higher minimums run a small bankroll down quickly, even on low-edge bets.

Streaming and mobile play

Asian baccarat studios show “roads” beside the stream: Big Road, Bead Plate, Big Eye Boy, Small Road and Cockroach Pig. They chart past results in different patterns. DG and other Asian studios show them in detail.

Roads are useful for one thing: checking what has happened in the shoe. They can’t predict the next hand. Each hand is dealt from the remaining cards, and the Banker and Player odds barely move from one hand to the next. Believing a long Banker streak makes Player “due” is the gambler’s fallacy. • Stick to low-edge bets. Banker, Player, even-money roulette with La Partage, and basic-strategy blackjack cost the least over time.
• Treat side bets as entertainment spending. Pairs, Tie and most game-show segments carry far higher edges.
• Watch your pace. Speed tables deal more hands per hour, so you stake more per hour at the same chip size.
